The Studio
About the artist
Still Hot Studio is the work of a London-based Australian artist whose practice centres on hot glass — blown vessels, wearable jewellery, and coral-inspired sculpture that carry the memory of ocean and reef.
Growing up near the Australian coast shaped an ongoing fascination with underwater forms: the texture of coral, the way light passes through water, the colour range of a reef at depth. That language now lives in glass.
The studio is based in London, where each piece is made by hand. Glass and pottery appear together in the work — a ceramic ring stand, a thrown vessel holding glass rings — the two materials in constant conversation.
The process
Every piece begins molten — a gather of glass on the end of a blowpipe, shaped by breath, gravity, and the heat of the furnace. The name says it all: still hot.
Forms emerge from the relationship between material and maker. Nothing is cast or moulded. The ocean provides the colour palette and the shapes; the glass provides the permanence.
The team
Still Hot Studio is a collaborative space. Alongside the lead artist, a small team of glassmakers, photographers, and collaborators come together to make each collection possible.
We welcome creative collaborations and commissions. Reach out to discuss bespoke pieces, wholesale enquiries, or studio visits.
